Indian Passport, Visa and OCI Photos
Passport photo regulations for India vary according to which official Indian government website you consult. In most cases passport photos can be printed as 35mm by 45mm which is the most common international size. Sometimes 51x51mm or 35x35mm can be specified. We will print to whatever size photograph your passport application form requires.
Visa photos are now 51x51mm (2 x 2 inches).

The passport photo regulations for Ireland are not the same as the UK passport photos. These ID photographs are best achieved in our photography studio, but you can also upload a photograph that you have taken yourself, and we will ensure that it meets all the necessary requirements.

- Photos can be black & white or colour (black & white is preferred)

The passport photo regulations for Germany are similar in composition and print size to the British and other European passport photos. They differ mainly in respect of head covering which is not allowed (even for religious reasons)

- No head coverings are allowed.

You will receive a set of two 4x6 photos (depicting your full body) and a set of four passport size photographs (showing your head and shoulders).

Baby & Child Passport and Visa Photos
Passport photo regulations for babies and children (children under the age of five) are usually less strict than for adults (depending upon the country). The guidelines below represent the UK passport regulations for baby and child photos, and represent a common international standard. - Babies do not have to have their eyes open if they are under one year old
- A neutral expression is not essential.

Opening Times and Booking
Because UK-Photo is a photographic studio rather than a shop, it is better to book an appointment as we may be busy with other customers who are having a photo session that may take 30 minutes to an hour.
Another reason for booking your appointment, is that we are sometimes called upon to shoot weddings, events and other location work, so we cannot be in the studio all of the time.
You can telephone us to make a booking at any time of the day (mornings or evenings). If we do not answer your call straight away, just leave a message and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Out-of-hours booking
There is a certain amount of flexibility when booking your appointment. If you cannot make it to our studio during the opening times indicated on the right, just telephone us and we can try to arrange a convenient time for you. OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India)
This is a category of overseas citizenship with certain restricted rights compared to full Indian citizens. Photo size is 51mm x 51mm.ds-160
The ds-160 is the online nonimmigrant visa application form for the United States. As the form is completed electronically via the official web site, the photographs for this application form must be submitted in the same electronic manner. The resolution, file size, and format of the image must adhere to the regulations set by the US State Department. The photo must be uploaded when completing the form.J Visa (J-1 or J-2)
American visa issued to exchange visitors. These apply typically to summer employment programs, au-pairs and university post-graduate exchange programs. The photograph requirements are the same as for a standard US visa.US Student Visa (F-1)

American term for biometric passports.UKBA (United Kingdom Border Agency)
The UK Border Agency is responsible for securing the UK borders and controlling migration in the UK. They enforce immigration and customs regulations and consider applications for permission to enter or stay in the UK, and applications for citizenship and asylum.Photographs required for this agency are the same as UK passport photos, but must not have been taken longer than a month prior to their submission to the UKBA.
ICAO - International Civil Aviation Organization
The ICAO defines the biometric file formats and communication protocols to be used in modern passports. Most countries are now conforming to this standard.Photocard Driving License
UK photocard driving licenses were introduced in 1998. Unlike the older licence, these expire every ten years and must be renewed with a current photograph. If you need to renew your license, you will need a D1 form from the post office, or you can apply online at the DVLA web site.Blue Badge
Blue badges are issued by local authorities. They allow people with severe mobility problems to park their cars in handicapped parking zones. The required photograph is 35mm by 45mm, but the regulations are not as strict as they are for passports.UK Identity Card

Another biometric means of identification is iris recognition.
